The San Juan Hills Stallions and the Aquinas Falcons squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the San Juan Hills Stallions had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 53-50. San Juan Hills was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Aquinas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
San Juan Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Hodges, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. Nathan Brosch was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
San Juan Hills dropped their record down to 18-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Aquinas, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-10.
San Juan Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aquinas, they will square off against Culver City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Culver City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Aquinas likes a good challenge.
