There's no place like home for Hubbard, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Little Village Phoenix on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Thiago Monarrez and Ricardo Romo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Monarrez pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Romo kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Monarrez went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Romo got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
