The Calvary Day School Cougars pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 70-69 to High Point Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (66), Calvary Day School still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Calvary Day School still got an impressive performance from Asher Tolbert, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 3 assists. Owen Calvert was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Calvary Day School's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for High Point Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Day School will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Westchester Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for High Point Christian Academy, they will challenge Caldwell Academy on Friday. Caldwell Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully High Point Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
