There's no place like home for Hickory Grove Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Concord Academy Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Zach White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hickory Grove Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. White was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March.
