Given Marion County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Panthers are ranked 397th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Joe Aldridge continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Tye Madison was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Marion County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Hackleburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
