The Northwood Gladiators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Poolesville, falling 59-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Northwood has suffered against Poolesville since January 16, 2015.
It was another big night for Breanna Salovich, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Poolesville. Another player making a difference was Alex Sosna, who scored three points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Poolesville, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Northwood will head out on the road to challenge Seneca Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Seneca Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northwood in Maryland (Seneca Valley is ranked 54th, while Northwood is ranked 268th). As for Poolesville, they will be playing at home against Clarksburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarksburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
