The Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles lost against the Oak Level Baptist Academy Conquerors two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sheets Memorial Christian fell 50-43 to Oak Level Baptist Academy.
Sheets Memorial Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Finn Everhart and Waylon Matthews. Everhart scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Matthews scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Wes Gobble, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Sheets Memorial Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Sheets Memorial Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Oak Level Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-19.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheets Memorial Christian will face off against Greater Vision Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Greater Vision Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Sheets Memorial Christian likes a good challenge. As for Oak Level Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
