The Whittell Warriors's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Carlin 54-27 on the road. The victory was just what Whittell needed coming off of a 61-30 loss in their prior contest.
Whittell found their leader in underclassman Alex Rvovic, who shot 6-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rvovic has scored at least 25% of Whittell's points. Another player making a difference was Rocky Laremore, who scored 4 points along with 14 rebounds and 5 assists.
Whittell's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Carlin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whittell is on the road again on Friday and play against enCompass Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 15th. EnCompass Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Carlin, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Stage at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
