The Estrella Sidewinders suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Monday. They were dealt a 72-37 defeat at the hands of Our Lady of the Sun Academy. Estrella just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
It was another big night for Joseph Reiss, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 5 assists for Our Lady of the Sun Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reiss has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brady Webster, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Estrella's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Estrella will head out on the road to square off against Brighton Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gila Bend at 5:30 p.m.
