They blew past Paulding County 80-50 at home. Given Alexander's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Paulding County is ranked 247th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alexander's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allen Stoddard led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Stoddard is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braedan Lue, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Alexander's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.1 points per game. As for Paulding County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Alexander will head out on the road to challenge New Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paulding County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Paulding at 7:30 p.m.
