After a string of three wins, the Clay City Eels's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northview. Clay City has not had much luck with Northview recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Eels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kailyn Kirkling, who scored 13 points along with three steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Kirkling posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Lulu Koehler, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
