North Mesquite is 5-0 against the Timberwolves since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North Mesquite Stallions will head out on the road to take on the Spruce Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully North Mesquite is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Timberwolves in Texas (the Stallions are ranked 440th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 1380th).
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 14 more assists than your opponent, a fact North Mesquite proved on Friday. Everything went their way against Adams as North Mesquite made off with a 60-38 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as North Mesquite just coasted through the last quarter.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Micah Vaughn and Keiontay Marsh. Vaughn had a solid game and scored six points along with eight rebounds. Meanwhile, Marsh did his best for the losing side, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Spruce, who are still winless after their 21st match. Their tough 70-49 loss to Samuell on Friday might stick with them for a while. Spruce has struggled against the Spartans recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
North Mesquite is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Spruce, they dropped their record down to 0-21 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for North Mesquite against the Timberwolves in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 69-32 win. With North Mesquite ahead 40-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
