The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Paint Branch in their matchups with Richard Montgomery: they've now lost three in a row.
Paint Branch's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Horm, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Horm has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Tientcheu, who scored 11 points.
Paint Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Richard Montgomery, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Paint Branch will head out on the road to face off against Sherwood at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sherwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
