The Ridgeview Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaches Chapel.
Ridgeview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blake Thomas, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was JJ Moore, who scored 11 points.
Ridgeview's loss was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-17. As for Beaches Chapel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview's road trip will continue as they head out to face Orange Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Orange Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ridgeview in Florida (Orange Park is ranked 210th, while Ridgeview is ranked 689th). As for Beaches Chapel, they will head out on the road to square off against First Coast Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. First Coast Christian is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
