Not much got past  Ava Beal, who gave up just  three  hits to keep McConnellsburg off the board. Beal has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Lakyin Hixson was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Brynley Schriever, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Southern Fulton's record is now 3-5. As for McConnellsburg, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  defeat, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, Southern Fulton will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Mills  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for McConnellsburg, they will square off against Shade at 2:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
