Last Wednesday, Northeastern Clinton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-53 to Northern Adirondack.
Despite their defeat, Northeastern Clinton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jordan Brown, who scored 20 points, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Max Rabideau was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Peru's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Union-Endicott 66-20.
Northeastern Clinton now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Peru, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Northeastern Clinton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Peru in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win.
