Riverside won the last time they faced Madison and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mustangs an 11-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Riverside got a great performance from Cole Yarbro as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, Yarbro posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Kirk, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Connor Newberry, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base.

Riverside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madison only managed two hits.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will face off against Huntingdon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison, they will square off against McNairy Central at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
