The high school football season in Montana came to a close over the weekend.
Florence-Carlton (Florence) was among the victors, beating
Bigfork 42-0 in the Class B state championship game. That helped propel the Falcons to the No. 1 ranking in the final Montana MaxPreps Top 25.
Florence-Carlton was dominant throughout the season, averaging 43 points per game and allowing just 7.2 with four shutouts. In four playoff games, the Falcons outscored their opponents 158-15.
Junior quarterback
Patrick Duchien was the catalyst offensively, throwing for 2,612 yards and 35 touchdowns while running for 596 yards and 13 more scores.

Tyson Rostad, unbeaten Class A state champion
Hamilton finished No. 2 in the rankings. The Broncs beat
Laurel 21-7 in the title game.
