Basketball Game Preview: The Meadows School Mustangs vs. Boulder City Eagles

The Meadows School Mustangs will face off against the Boulder City Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

The Meadows School is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Pahrump Valley 57-33 on Thursday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Meadows School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evie De Wit, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 12 points along with six assists and four steals. That's the most steals De Wit has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Nwapa, who went 7 of 15 en route to 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

De Wit wasn't the only one working in the assists department: The Meadows School was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pahrump Valley only racked up eight assists.

Meanwhile, Boulder City beat Doral Academy Red Rock 43-32 on Wednesday.

Boulder City pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for The Meadows School, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

The Meadows School came up short against Boulder City in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 45-40. Can The Meadows School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
