4A District 1 recap September 24, 2013
Walton scaled the state rankings by moving to 245 from 271 this week, the biggest jump in 4A District 1. The Braves climbed the ranks as a result of beating Chipley 33-31.
Walton led the league in scoring this week by notching 33 points on the Tigers.
Florida State University's Ronnie Harrison and Andres DeTorres have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Harrison has thrown for 569 yards this season, while DeTorres, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 9 catches for 145 yards. Teon Long from Marianna leads the league in rushing with 309 yards.
The Braves made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,476 from 4,704. The improvement was the result of 33-31 victory over Chipley last week.
