The Harding Academy Wildcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Gentry 49-12 at home. The victory was just business as usual for Harding Academy, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Owen Miller, who threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Hoover, who picked up 208 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Harding Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.27 points. As for Gentry, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
Harding Academy will take on Malvern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Malvern is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Gentry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
