After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Snow Canyon, the Hurricane Tigers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They snuck past Pine View with a 47-41 win. That's another feather in the cap for Hurricane, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Addison Crandall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Nizhoni Dominguez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Pine View still got an impressive performance from Reese Gustin, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Gustin hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games.
Hurricane is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Pine View, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Hurricane will head out on the road to take on Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Cedar is ranked 21st, while Hurricane is ranked 49th). As for Pine View, they will be playing at home against Desert Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
