The Skyline Coyotes's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Westwood 43-27. The win was just what Skyline needed coming off of a 55-24 loss in their prior match.
It was another big night for Jc Ameca, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Joseph Fulkerson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Skyline's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Westwood, they dropped their record down to 5-17 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyline and Dobson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dobson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Skyline in Arizona (Dobson is ranked 97th, while Skyline is ranked 246th). As for Westwood, Westwood and Red Mountain will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Red Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
