The Preston Knights are on the road again  on Tuesday to play the Clay-Battelle Cee Bees at 5:00  p.m. Preston will be strutting in after a  victory while Clay-Battelle will be coming in after a  defeat.
 On Monday, Preston earned  a  5-2 win over Grafton.
  Tanner Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Bryson McNew, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Slaton Manko, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Clay-Battelle was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  tough 16-4 defeat at the hands of Tygarts Valley.
 Preston's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Clay-Battelle, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
 Preston skirted past Clay-Battelle  9-7 in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Preston since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
