The Woodmore Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Flyers at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After a string of three wins, Woodmore's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 42-25 fall against Danbury. While losing is never fun, Woodmore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while Danbury is ranked 106th).
Meanwhile, Lake's game on Tuesday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maumee.
Woodmore's record is now 5-4. As for Lake, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Woodmore against Lake in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 52-14 victory. Does Woodmore have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
