Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carter). They took down the Gibbs Eagles 83-66 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Green Hornets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Despite the loss, Gibbs still got an impressive performance from Zack Turner, who went 13 of 27 on his way to 38 points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Norman, who posted seven points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks.

Carter is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points per game. As for Gibbs, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carter will head out to challenge Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gibbs, they will venture away from home to take on Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
