Spotsylvania put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the James Monroe Yellow Jackets as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.

Josh Perez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Spotsylvania always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as James Monroe only posted an OBP of .350.

Spotsylvania's record now sits at 3-0. As for James Monroe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Spotsylvania will host Louisa County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for James Monroe, they will head out to square off against Caroline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
