The Tome Titans were the 79-42 winner over Varsity Opponent when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tome took a hard 52-37 fall against the on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tome has scored all season.
Tome's loss came despite strong showings from Spencer Cain and Ethan Griffith. Cain scored 16 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds, while Griffith scored four points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Tome and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Varsity Opponent, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 356-1283-2.
Tome will take on the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to challenge the Shires at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
