Basketball Game Preview: Bear Grass Charter Bears vs. North Duplin Rebels

Bear Grass Charter is 0-3 against North Duplin since December of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bear Grass Charter Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Duplin Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bear Grass Charter comes in on three and North Duplin on four.

Bear Grass Charter will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Northside - Pinetown, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Bear Grass Charter came out on top against Northside - Pinetown by a score of 64-56 on Friday.

Bear Grass Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubery Dotson, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 22 points in addition to six assists and six steals. Dotson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Gregory, who posted seven points along with 13 boards and six steals.

Bear Grass Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, North Duplin won against Wayne Christian on Friday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. North Duplin blew past Princeton 48-26. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Bear Grass Charter's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for North Duplin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Bear Grass Charter suffered a grim 60-38 defeat to North Duplin when the teams last played back in December of 2023.
