The Flowing Wells Caballeros will take on the Tombstone Yellow Jackets in a tournament on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Flowing Wells picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Hanks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Caballeros.

Josiah Kehoe made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).
In other batting news, Diego Kisner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Jesus Mendivil, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Tombstone never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Parkland.
Miguel Rincon tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Erik Koehler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Hank Moody was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Tombstone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkland only posted an OBP of .200.
Tombstone now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Flowing Wells, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Flowing Wells has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tombstone struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Flowing Wells came out on top in a nail-biter against Tombstone in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 5-4. Will Flowing Wells repeat their success, or does Tombstone have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
