The Glencoe Yellowjackets came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Hokes Bluff by a score of 42-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Glencoe also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Alli Jo Amos was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Autumn Greene was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and five steals.
The win got Glencoe back to even at 5-5. As for Hokes Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Glencoe will be home for the holidays to greet Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hokes Bluff, they will head out on the road to face off against Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Cleveland is ranked 313th, while Hokes Bluff is ranked 304th).
