Zay Stephens' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sheridan over Jonesboro
Starting off the list is Sheridan's Zay Stephens, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stephens rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Sheridan's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. Stephens and Sheridan will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Myers Posts Huge Game in 49-28 Victory
Thanks in part to Asa Myers, Jonesboro said goodbye to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season. Nobody could stop Myers on Friday as he threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Braxton Burks Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Catholic picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braxton Burks. Burks was excellent, picking up 170 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (112.5) per game. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 90 yards.
