The Greenwood Mennonite Flames entered their tilt with Calvary Christian Academy with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Greenwood Mennonite took down the 53-39 on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Greenwood Mennonite, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Greenwood Mennonite was led to victory by Laci Mast and Faith Troyer. Mast almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Troyer dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Troyer has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Calvary Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Diaya Armantrading, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Kate Malinky (HS) was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists.
Greenwood Mennonite pushed their record up to 13-2 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fairwinds Christian the next time they take the court. Calvary Christian Academy will head out to face Fairwinds Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Greenwood Mennonite will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
