The Edmondson-Westside Red Storm will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Niagara Falls Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Edmondson-Westside comes in on nine and Niagara Falls on three.
Even though City College scored an imposing 71 points last Tuesday, Edmondson-Westside still came out on top. Edmondson-Westside secured a 77-71 W over City College.
Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Niagara Falls made off with a 46-45 victory over West Charlotte. Given Niagara Falls' advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in New York, while West Charlotte is ranked 150th in North Carolina), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Edmondson-Westside pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Niagara Falls, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
