While Sun Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Stuart W. Cramer Storm by a score of 7-3 on Friday. The Spartans' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Connor Salerno looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Brian Devereaux was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Connor Monaghan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Sun Valley pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Stuart W. Cramer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Sun Valley will welcome Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sun Valley is facing Piedmont at the right time seeing as Piedmont is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they will square off against North Gaston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuart W. Cramer's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so North Gaston's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
