After four games on the road, EPIC Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Bowen Boilermakers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. EPIC Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 758th, while Bowen is ranked 350th).
EPIC Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a rough 85-13 loss at the hands of Harlan.
Meanwhile, Bowen had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 win over Brooks.
Bowen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rae'Qwon Rogers, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Rogers hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Caleb Wright was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
EPIC Academy's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Bowen, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
