The Kennard-Dale Rams will square off against the Susquehannock Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Kennard-Dale sitting on eight straight victories and Susquehannock on four.
Kennard-Dale's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Eastern York 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Taryn Ashenfelter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double.
Ashenfelter wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Rinaudo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Rinaudo hit this season.
Meanwhile, Susquehannock earned a 4-1 win over Spring Grove on Wednesday.
Ella Wetzel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, Sofia Deffendall was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Nora Salla was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.
Kennard-Dale pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Susquehannock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kennard-Dale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Susquehannock struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
