Softball Recap: Whitehaven Extends Winning Streak to Three

Whitehaven had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Craigmont Chiefs as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Whitehaven's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Craigmont, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Whitehaven will host Southwind at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Craigmont, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cordova at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
