Atlantic City lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Wildwood Catholic, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. Meanwhile, while Oakcrest put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Bridgeton. Oakcrest blew past Bridgeton 18-0. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Atlantic City, Oakcrest also got a great game from a two-way player: Dakota Miranda. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Miranda didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney Mason, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Chrystal Williams was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
