Martin County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Treasure Coast with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Martin County got a great performance from Joseph Cuccurullo as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. What's more, Cuccurullo gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Tanner Paskoski was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Kamai Purce was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, everything went Sebring's way against Auburndale on Thursday as Sebring made off with a 9-1 victory. The Blue Streaks haven't had any issues with the Bloodhounds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Nate Arnan, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Vaughn, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Martin County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Sebring, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Martin County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game.
