The Tempe Prep Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-19 loss at the hands of St. Augustine Catholic. Tempe Prep has struggled against the Wolves recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
St. Augustine Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Callahan, who scored 18 points along with six steals. Callahan hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiersten Ball, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Tempe Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for St. Augustine Catholic, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
