The Jay Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sotomayor WILDCATS at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
On Wednesday, Jay didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Stevens, but they still walked away with a 69-63 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jay.
It was another big night for Camrin Garza, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Guillen, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sotomayor was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 80-76 to Holmes. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (61), Sotomayor still had to take the loss.
Jay's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-6. As for Sotomayor, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
