The Gorton Wolves on the road again on Thursday and play against the Nyack Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Gorton, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-40 loss to Barack Obama School for Social Justice. That's two games in a row now that Gorton has lost by exactly 19 points.
Meanwhile, even though Pearl River scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Nyack still came out on top. Nyack walked away with a 68-55 win over Pearl River. The victory was all the more spectacular given Nyack's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Pearl River is ranked 22nd).
Gorton's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Nyack, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
