After flying high against the Brazosport Christian Eagles last Monday, the FBCHA Eagles came back down to earth. FBCHA took a 68-51 bruising from San Marcos HomeSchool on Saturday. FBCHA has struggled against San Marcos HomeSchool recently, as their game on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Madison Hurta continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for San Marcos HomeSchool, going 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 7 assists. Hurta has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Beck, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
FBCHA's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for San Marcos HomeSchool, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-4.
FBCHA on the road again on Saturday and play against Aggieland HomeSchool at 3:40 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Aggieland HomeSchool is ranked 313th, while FBCHA is ranked 323rd). As for San Marcos HomeSchool, they will take on Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday.
