The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Splendora in their matchups with Livingston: they've now lost four in a row.
Lubbers Robert threw for 104 yards and a touchdown. Angel Montero was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards. On the ground, Dominic Rodriguez rushed for 54 yards.
Damorian Hill looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 109 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes. Livingston also got a significant boost from Jerren James, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Splendora bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.4 points per game. As for Livingston, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
Splendora will be playing at home against Vidor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vidor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Splendora in Texas (Vidor is ranked 382nd, while Splendora is ranked 932nd). As for Livingston, they will head out on the road to face off against Lumberton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lumberton will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
