Andre Pendleton of Harriton ran for the longest rushing play in Central this season against Penncrest last week. Pendleton scampered for 82 yards on the play and finished with 286 on the day as his team bested the Lions.
Haverford was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in the league. The Fords beat Radnor 42-6 earlier in the week.
Harriton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Patrick Moriarty threw for 213 and two touchdowns and Kenny Brown had 107 yards receiving. Eric Korn helped Harriton's passing attack out by catching two balls for 34 yards.
Harriton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Moriarty has thrown for 723 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Brown has 13 catches for 308 yards. Pendleton leads the league in rushing with 506 yards.
A big matchup in Central this week will be when Garnet Valley takes on Springfield. As it stands, the Jaguars are in second, while the Cougars are in third.
Ridley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Strath Haven, 32-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
