The Trinity Catholic Celtics will square off against the Ridgeview Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let West Nassau get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Celtics as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The result came thanks to Caylee Barbe's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordan Koehn, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeview). They put the hurt on Orange Park with a sharp 7-1 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won eight in a row.
Saige Bialek was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Bialek was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, KK Crocker was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Bella Jeffers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Ridgeview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.
The win got Ridgeview back to even at 6-6. As for Trinity Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Trinity Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ridgeview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Trinity Catholic beat Ridgeview 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Celtics repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
