Grace Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Izzie Tapp-Milligan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave Tapp-Milligan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Hill, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Tapp-Milligan wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Grace Christian Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hardin Valley Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against West on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 6-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 29, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Hardin Valley Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Kate Schneider, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Grace Christian Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hardin Valley Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-17 record.
Hardin Valley Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. It's a different story for Hardin Valley Academy, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 strikeouts.
