After having lost a blowout in their previous game against George Washington, String Theory was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Franklin Learning Center Bobcats 10-2. Considering String Theory has won four matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
String Theory got a massive performance out of Alaina Petrone, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Petrone has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Alexa Pietrafesa was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
String Theory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
String Theory moved to 4-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Franklin Learning Center, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
