Grundy County  took care of business in their home opener  on Monday (and then some). They breezed by the St. Andrews-Sewanee Mountain Lions to the tune of  84-9. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellowjackets also won the last time the pair played  back in January of 2018.
 Leading Grundy County to victory were  Kayla Garza and  Kallie Parson.  Garza  had 11 points along with two  steals, while  Parson  scored 13 points. What's more,  Garza also racked up two  offensive rebounds, the most she's  had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Kasadee Crabtree, who  went 7 for 8 en route to 12 points.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grundy County will welcome Franklin County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Pittsburg at 7:30  p.m.  on December 6th. St. Andrews-Sewanee is looking for their season's first  win.
